Brighter in color than green peppers, red and yellow peppers both have more Vitamin C in than their cousin. Plus, the red and yellow peppers taste sweeter than the green peppers, too. Eating peppers raw provides more of the vitamins than when they are steamed or cooked.

Full of a dandy natural chemical called lyseine, tomatoes are actually a fruit, not a vegetable. Combining the lyseine, with the Vitamin C and built-in antioxidants, tomatoes will do a body good.

Olives are high in fat—quite often, they are pressed out for olive oil, to be used in cooking. However, the fats that are in olives are, like avocadoes, good for your body particularly in regards to colon cancer, as long as you don’t go overboard.

Some people think avocadoes are bad for you—because they’re high in fat. What most people don’t understand is that the fats that are in avocadoes are actually good for you, and having an avocado once or twice a week will definitely do you good.

Looking for a tasty way to get a good dose of Vitamin C? Oranges, lemons, limes and grapefruit are all excellent sources of it. Grapefruit are quite often eaten in a bowl at breakfast, with or without sugar, by themselves. All of them can be squeezed for juice, or peeled and eaten. Yum!

No, these are not the seeds that you use to grow Chia Pets with. They look similar to tapioca seeds, and are a wonderful way to get protein and calcium. In addition, they absorb water very well, so you are able to stay hydrated quite well.
