Is the box office dead? Not quite. People are still heading in droves to the theaters to watch movies, as is evident by the fact that box office sales actually grew again despite the trend for younger adults to go online to find the latest releases. In support of the latter, we're compiling a list of the best sites out there to watch movies online. With millions of websites offering the promise of free full length feature films, which ones actually deliver and provide working links to movies.

is one of the best sites out there for a few reasons. The primary reason alluc is one of the best is because it has a huge community of 'link hunters' that go out and search the web for links to movies.
They also provide a rating indicator that shows a rough quality score for the movie based on the 'success rate' of the last ten viewers (very important given the frequency movies are taken down online), and an indicator as to the type of player that's used.
What's the down side? Well, alluc launches all movies in a pop-up window that contains not only the advertising content for the hosted movie site, but also its own advertising, which can consist of obnoxious banners, among other things.

Watch-Movies-Online.tv is a well known website for most people who go online frequently to watch movies. They clearly have people that actively work to go out and either upload movies or find links to movies on video sharing websites, which results in a huge database of movie links for others.
The biggest drawback that I see is that the rating system seems to be skewed somewhat significantly and sites that clearly don't have the movie are often ranked very highly, indicative of an under the table relationship.
They also have quite a few affiliate links up for sites like ZML, but lets be honest, they deserve a little bit of cash for all the hard work they put into the massive database they've compiled.

http://jooxie.com is another site that provides direct links that allow the end user to watch movies online. Some of the positive aspects of this site are that users can rate the quality of the links to free movies with one click, the links tell you whether or not they are of lower (cam) or higher (rip) quality.
The site has minimal to no advertising and appears to be solely user generated content, although the number of movies in the Jooxie.com database seems to be significantly smaller than some others out there, which may be related to the focus on newer release films.

A search for a recently released movie yielded Amazon and Hulu as the top results, followed by Fancast and Watch-Movies-Online.tv. Several of these are obviously paid listings, with Watch-Movies-Online.tv providing direct links to movies. This makes OVGuide at least two clicks away from providing the end user with the ability to watch the movie of their choice. Even so, they provide a huge database and if you're looking for anything under the sun, they've probably found it.

QuickSilverScreen offers a slightly different twist on movie viewing, it directly embeds the player within the website, which is a huge plus for watching the movie without having to leave the site.
Unfortunately, qss is hampered by the fact that only megavideo and google video among a few others are suitable for this method, which greatly limits their selection.
They also appear to be a bit heavy on the affiliate links and paid schemes that are likely to confuse users.

- a significant number of movies;
- professional and unique design;
